Raksha Bandhan: Bonds of Pure Love & Bliss

An ancient ritual of tying thread knots (Bandhan) to Safeguard (Raksha) the person and his/her endeavors. It has multi folded in our Indian civilization in variety of ways. During war times women used to tie knot on the wrist of their husbands to come back with triumph and victory.  Later on Sister wishing for the well being of her brother and in turn brother take care of her in all means. Even in temple today priest ties colorful threads to our wrist that are meant for safeguarding us from outside evil forces. We have diverse beliefs about raksha bandhan in different cultures and traditions.

Above all what is this Raksha Bandhan???

What is the Bond we are having with this Universe??

To whom we all are Bonded to??

Who is safeguarding us or the entire Universe??

Truly speaking in terms of spirituality, the reality of the spirit. We all are bounded by such intense and ecstatic thread of Love. The Bond of love which is within and without. Likewise, waves are bonded to the Ocean, we are bonded to the Love. Though Love appears to be an emotion, it is above all and is all. The universal soul itself is our safeguard. The divine pervading in and out of this universe is our angel of love. The bond which we all have with the supreme and universal soul is what real "Raksha Bandhan" is. The inner most sense which says "All is Well", "Everything is already Taken Care of" is our real safeguard. The more intense your bonding with Divine persists, more brighter and connected you will be and more you grow in love. The Love, which is pure, natural and unconditional. We need not to do any efforts to achieve this but simply get connected to our own higher self. The distance between you and your angel is just as much as is between you and yourself. Realize it.....Recognize It ...Reconcile It.

This true transformation can occur by only "Surrender". Yes, let our big mind or higher self plan our path of life, let it take us to entirely new era, let it dawn in us what we are actually, let it be responsible for the eternity of our lives. A moment in your life when you could relate that the series of events are happening for a bigger cause, for a bigger goal in your life, that's it. You may understand that ...oh! whole life was a mere series of happenings and I am beyond all these. The something which was never touched or unblemished by acts, words and thoughts of people around us. And once we surrender and connect to that greater divinity inside us, that's it, real play starts and you rejoice in it without any regrets, attachments, burden and bondage. A bond which removes all bondage.

Let us always be bonded with such higher dimension in our lives.

And once you are connected to higher self within you, your bonding with all others e.g., parents, brothers, sisters, husband, wife, colleague, teachers, with our planet, environment, animals, energy etc all will be rejuvenated in a novel and higher plane. And you begins to exhibit various roles just perfect. You will accommodate all of them and starts taking care of them. You become Blossomed. Let's us pledge to ourselves on the occasion of Raksha Bandhan,

Let our lives be bonded by truth, peace and love.

Let our bodies be bonded in the service of humankind without any prejudice and fanatics.

Let our actions, words and thoughts be bonded in the purity, as the lotus in the middle of waters.

Let our life be bonded towards higher goals of self-realization.

Let our body, breathe and mind be bonded for the higher Ideals.

Let us always dwell in the bond of one divine who is manifested in various forms, ethnics, communities, religions, countries and peoples.

Let us be bonded to the Mother Nature which has given these five elements for our life sustenance.
