India’s 66th Independence Day
I express my warm wishes to every Indian on the occasion of India’s 66th Independence Day. I remember the day, last year when I came to AIT ......for the first time outside my home land and was invited for the flag hoisting ceremony by Indian Association. I felt deep gratitude to all those people who were involved in organising such auspicious event. Flag hoisting that too in a foreign country builds a sense of belongingness among us. A belongingness which blossoms from the depth of hearts to bring the consciousness of being one. It’s not just making a flag to fly but to ponder ourselves about the reason behind this independence we are enjoying today. It is a reason to think does this freedom really makes any sense in our daily lives. It is a reason to consider our freedom at the stake of losing it. It is a day to realize the importance of several sacrifices done for making this day. It’s a day when India has freed herself from the shackles of British rulers...
